Hank the Elephant
Sewn by hand from a pair of socks
The old socks looked like they belonged to an old man. They were old, and really unusually large. I thought of elephants. Wise old elephant.
All the sewing was improvised. I pictured him being an old man elephant with old man clothes, but his outfit turned out pretty hip. I knitted his vest from yarn that I had but don’t remember buying and sewed his pants from an old pair of jeans.
He’s a friendly, hard working elephant that’s an active member of his community. Everybody likes hank.
